DEVELOPING, CONSULTING, TRAINING

ABOUT US

Edumarin was founded as a result of having a strong desire and passion towards developing learning and assessment. Having actively taken part in developing the national curriculum and creating concrete tools has strengthened the specialist knowledge and expertise as well as given ideas for practical solutions.

SERVICES

Edumarin organises training regarding key elements to support learning and assessment. We bring solutions to everyday pedagogical problems and questions as well as practical strategies to ensure success in learning and assessment. We see the existing solutions and situations as a foundation, which we will build on together creating more concrete and functional pedagogical structures.

OUR CLIENTS

Edumarin brings the services anywhere where there are learning and developing.  Our client base includes various communities and organisations, schools, councils, businesses, unions and any other parties related to learning.

COMPANY CULTURE

Values

The values of Edumarin are based on the same values that are important for learning. Every individual is unique and diversity is a strength. We meet people as a human being to another human being, respecting and appreciating the other person just as they are. Working together is based on trust, which is the foundation of co-operation and learning together. An atmosphere of trust will encourage to explore, make errors and try again.

Lifelong Learning

We, in Edumarin, see learning as a lifelong continuity which follows the current understanding of learning.  The key elements of learning are the learner's own interests and strengths. The joy of learning brings motivation to achieve the targets set by the learners themselves. The learning paths are individual and being an individual is seen as a strength to progress and succeed.

Assessment that supports learning

Assessment is one of our most essential and important targets to develop. With assessment the learner's self esteem as a learner and as a whole person can be built. We base the process of developing assessment in the Latin word for assess which is "assidere" = to sit beside. The assessment takes the learner to an adventure in the roots of their own learning. Within assessment, it is important that the learner's backpack is filled with encouragement and inspiration. It is especially important to make sure that it has all the tools needed and is not too heavy to carry.
